We have had a lot of dogs over the years... and 'Harry' was pretty much our best dog ever.
He had a long, dark cowlick that ran from his forehead down to his nose... and he loved to carry around his favorite toy... a stuffed toy pheasant. It was pretty cute.
We had to let him go a couple of years ago when he was overcome quickly by cancer.
It has taken me this long to be able to paint him... it was my Christmas gift to my husband this last Christmas. It wasn't quite finished then, but it's finished now.

"I hope my paintings bring a story to you... with mystery and beauty. It is a challenge to do so with something so simple as paint on canvas, and it's a challenge I happily embrace!"

Great beauty lies in those moments when light 'gives way' with splendor. As an artist, it feeds a deep longing… a happy pursuit... for beauty!
